Bear Event

First off - Auto joining does not work in Bear event. 
You have to manually select the rally you want to join and select the right heroes to send.

The event lasts for 30 minutes and because of walking times for the troops, you can only send out 5 of your own rallies during the event, BUT you can join as many as up to 80 or more!

This is the way we do Bear event in SDE.

That's right. We want as many rallies as possible!

Depending on which row around bear you have different starting times when to send out your first rally.
We want the rallies to spread out so that we always have rallies open to join.

First Ring - start rally at start of event
Second Ring - wait 60 seconds
Third+ Row wait 90-120 sec

• JOIN THE OLDEST RALLY - the rally at the top when selecting rallies!

Preparation is key in this event as in so many things in life. 
You want to have as many preset squads with joiner heroes as you can with as many archers in each squad.

Be aware of the timer on when the rally starts marching
If your squad doesn't reach the rally before they march off (if you are really fast you might speed them up), they will return without points! 

So how do one make this work?

A Bear Hunt event can be hectic - a lot of rallies at once and there are a lot going on.

This is the way I do this:

1. I am in first ring so as soon as the event starts I send out my first own rally. (use pet buffs and send your strongest heroes with the best gear and maximum of soldiers)
   I have my own rally at preset 1.
2. Then I click the button where the rallies are.
3. Select the top-most rally and join with my preset 2.
4. Select the next rally and join with my preset 3 - and so on.
5. When all your squads are sent out - we wait until one of them return and then we start sending them back out to the oldest rally.
6. Because of walking times your squads will return at uneven intervals.
7. Just keep on sending out the preset squad that have a hero at home to the oldest rally..
8. Do not forget to send out your own rally when they return.

Stay calm and join rallies!

Join as many rallies as you can.
As soon as your squad returns - send them out again (we have confirmed over 80 joins in one bear event)

Ending thoughts

If you do not have the recommended heroes for all your presets squads it is better to have no hero in that preset squad.
A wrong joining hero makes the whole rally weaker. (This is another rabbit hole that we do not go deeper into here)
